Professional Resources

The Graduate Division has developed or is subscribed to the following professional development resources.

Subscription

Grammarly Premium

The Division of Graduate Studies subscribes to Grammarly Premium for all graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.

UC Santa Cruz Online Courses

Online Courses

The Graduate Division offers two online Canvas courses, Professional Development and Teaching as an Ethical Practice (TA Ethics), that graduate students, staff, and faculty may enroll in. Each course has multiple modules with videos. NOTE: This version of TA Ethics is not the required version that first-time UCSC teaching assistants must take the quarter of their first teaching assistantship (unless they took the required version as part of a requisite pedagogy course in their program to be eligible to receive a teaching assistantship). The required version must be taken in module order and has quizzes at the end of each that students must take to advance to the next module.

Organizations

Professional Organizations

UC Santa Cruz and the Graduate Division maintain membership in several professional organizations. Your affiliation as a graduate student or postdoctoral scholar allows you to access these organizations and their wealth of information, resources, and support for your professional goals.
