Learn interviewing strategies to land a job offer. Then, learn how to negotiate the best salary and benefits package when you receive the job offer. This class offers strategies that apply to both academic and alternative-to-academic job applications and negotiations. The negotiation strategies also apply to asking for raises, job reclassifications, and title and responsibility changes.

Veronica Heiskell has worked for over thirteen years in diversity and career centers in a variety of higher education institutions and currently serves as director of experiential learning at Career Success. Her goal is to remove as many barriers as possible for all students to pursue meaningful experiential learning opportunities. She completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in LGBT studies at UCLA, her master’s degree in counseling and guidance in higher education at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and her doctorate in higher education administration at UT Austin. Her dissertation research focused on sense of belonging for exploratory students.
